Advanced Photonics and Cyber Physical Systems (APCPS) Research Group formed in 2023.
In Advanced Photonics and Cyber Physical Systems (APCPS) Research Group led by Dr. Gaurav Kumar Bharti in Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bhopal,
we have been working on Photonic Devices, Integrated Photonics Circuit, Quantum Computing and Cyber Physical Systems. APCPS Research Group is actively involved in the design and modelling of photonic and quantum devices and
functionalities for optical computing, interconnects, hybrid circuits, quantum circuits, bio-chemical sensing, and for cyber physical systems applications. Our research group focuses on realizing new/improved photonic and quantum
functions by utilizing engineered structures and/or hybrid materials into our devices.
Following are the thrust areas of our research:
Integrated Photonics
Cyber-physical Systems
Silicon Photonics
Devices for Optical Interconnects
Nanophotonics
Quantum Computing
Photonic Devices
Artificial Intelligence in Photonics and Photonics in Artificial Intelligence
Machine Learning based Photonic Sensors
We focus on Device Modernizations through novel designs, simulating and computing device performances based
on smart and engineered materials for future data centres applications, computing and sensing. The group has ongoing research
collaborations with leading scientists in India, Malaysia, Turkey, Vietnam, Thailand and Tunisia.
