Dr. Gaurav Kumar Bharti graduated first in his class with a B.E. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), India in 2012. He got awarded with MBA degree from IASE Deemed University, Rajasthan in 2014. He has scored All India Rank (AIR)-45 in PGET WB 2014. He received the Master of Technology (M.Tech) degree in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR), Kolkata, India, in 2016. He has awarded PhD degree in the field of Photonics under the Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering Department of the National Institute of Technology, Agartala, Tripura, India (an institute of national importance in India) in 2020. He was an institute post-doctoral fellow at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India (a premier institute of India) from Sep. 2020 to Dec. 2021.
He is in the list of top 2% scientist for the year of 2023, as released by Stanford University (Based on the Scopus Data). He is an active researcher in the field of photonics and more than forty (40) of his research papers published/accepted in a reputed International Journals and Conferences with the citation of nearly 450 and with the h-index of 12. He is the reviewer of the various peer-reviewed journals. His current research interests include Photonics, Optical Sensor, Quantum Computing, Cyber Physical Systems and Nonlinear Optics. He has guided two PhD as well as two M.E. scholars. He has authored two books and two chapters respectively. His two Indian Patent has been published in year 2023. He has organized, delivered, and attended many Workshops, Seminars and National and International Conferences in India as well as in abroad. He has given the expert talk in the various reputed institutes of India and abroad, as well. He has both industrial and academic exposure. He has different ongoing sponsored research projects and industrial consultancy.
He is the active member of IEEE, IEEE Photonics Society, IEEE Sensors Council, IEEE Nanotechnology Council, OPTICA (Formerly OSA), SPIE and other professional bodies. He is the founder and past Chairman of the IEEE NIT Agartala student branch. He was also the Chapter Advisor of IEEE Photonics Society Chandigarh University Student Branch Chapter from 2021-2023. Currently, he is a Founder and Branch Counselor of IEEE IIIT Bhopal Student Branch. As a IEEE member, he has performed various significant outreach duties/activities during his different IEEE positions which include Proctor, Mentor, Speaker at various platforms like IEEE, OPTICA, etc. Dr. Bharti is an recipient of “Transformative Researcher of the Year Award-2022 for EE Department”, Best IEEE Chapter Advisor, which was awarded by Chandigarh University. He has received fellowship from different agencies/institutes which includes MoE, IITG, IFFP-CU, SERB International Travel Grant as a Young Scientist. He was a Visiting Professor at İzmir Yüksek Teknoloji Enstitüsü, Turkey during the Fall Semester 2022-23. From June 2023, he is an Assistant Professor in Electronics and Communication Engineering Department of IIIT Bhopal. Dr. Bharti is an Educator, Motivator, and a Researcher.

Dr. Ibrar Jahan M A completed a B.E. degree in Medical Electronics with FCD from M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, India, in 2002. She received an M.Tech degree in VLSI Design and Embedded Systems with FCD from UTL Technologies, VTU Extension Centre, Bengaluru, India, in 2009. She was awarded a PhD degree in the field of photonics under Visvesvaraya Technological University, India, in 2022. Currently she is working as Associate Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, RNS Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, India. She has completed a 6-month certification programme on machine learning from Simplilearn in association with the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. She is pursuing a PG diploma in Data Science and Quantum Computing from ABV-IIITM Gwalior, sponsored by AICTE. She is a recognised research supervisor at VTU and an RAC member. She is the technical program chair for the International Conference on Circuits, Controls, and Communication (CCUBE 2025) RNSIT. She has 22 years of teaching experience. She is a senior member of IEEE, an EXECOM member and secretary of the IEEE Photonics Society, Bangalore Section, an EXECOM member of Prakash Bharati and an EXECOM member of the IEEE Sensor Council Bangalore section. Faculty Advisor for Photonics and Sensor Council IEEE SB, RNSIT, member of MISTE. She has published more than 35 research papers in national as well as international conferences and peer-reviewed journals. She has guided 8 PG scholars. She has given expert talks at various reputable institutions. She has received the Best Paper award 3 times. She is a reviewer of peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. She has organised and attended many workshops and FDP. She was invited as a guest of honour at Chandigarh University in 2023. She has served as an Academic Mentor in the Student Mentorship Program (SMP) 2024 organized by IEEE India Council Industry Academia Young Professionals Committee (IAYPC) held from 20th August 2024 to 20th December 2024. She has received the best project award from DSC, AIC NITI Aayog, Bengaluru, in 2022. She has received the Padma Shri Dr S K Shivakumar Award in 2022 for an innovative project from the Karnataka Science and Technology Academy (KSTA). She has won a Silver award in INEX International and Innovation Expo, Poland, in 2023. She has won project funding from KSCST consecutively for two years, 2023 and 2024. She is also the author of a textbook on Basic Electronics and Semiconductor Devices. She has received a grant of Rs. 17 Lakhs from IITI DRISHTI, DST, GOI as CO-PI and Rs. 17,99,000/- from Divya Sampark, Technology Innovation Hub, DST, GOI as CO-PI. She has received an Undergraduate Research Fund (URF) of Rs 225,000/- for the year 2024. URF fund of Rs. 10,000/- and Rs. 25,000/- for two UG projects. She also received a seed grant of Rs. 23,400/-. Two UG students are working as research assistants, one student working in photonics and another student working in quantum computing.
